And as you are well aware, a key thread uniting these traditions is stewardship of the land, the watersheds and the communities in which we work and live. Without healthy ecosystems there can be no sustainable agricultural base to support world-class winemaking. Nor will there be healthy and vibrant fisheries for generations of fly fishers to enjoy.

At StoneFly we strive to incorporate stewardship into our winery and business at every level. This includes developing innovative, high-impact programs to support organizations and projects which are protecting and enhancing the health of our watersheds and fly fisheries.

StoneFly Vineyards the Official Winery of the FFF

StoneFly Vineyards is proud to have been recently selected as the "Official Winery" of the Federation of Fly Fishers (FFF). The Federation, founded nearly 50 years ago by fly fishing pioneers such as Lee Wulff, is dedicated to the sport of Fly Fishing through conservation, restoration and education. StoneFly will be supporting the FFF in multiple ways:

• Exclusive discounts for FFF members on StoneFly wines
• Donations & discounts for FFF councils and clubs
• Helping raise awareness of important FFF programs and initiatives

On October 10-11th Chief Fly Fishing Officer Nick Papadopoulos attended the Federation of Fly Fishers' Northern California Council's 2008 Festival of Fly Fishing. This event, attended by hundreds of fly fishing experts and enthusiasts, was an excellent setting to announce our nation-wide alliance with the Federation and continue to get to know FFF members.

We would like to thank our hosts and especially Charlie Edwards who worked with us throughout the entire event to ensure we had the opportunity to meet people, share information regarding StoneFly Vineyards let fly fishers know about the benefits of our fine wine alliance with the Federation of Fly fishers.

Pat Roney and Leslie Rudd Purchase StoneFly

On April 1, 2008 Leslie Rudd and Pat Roney of Windsor Vineyards reached agreement with Rob and Claudia Hampton to purchase StoneFly Vineyards. StoneFly was founded in 1996 around a vision of pairing ultra-premium wines with the centuries-old tradition of fly-fishing. As we move into the future our team intends to continue StoneFly's development as the "premium wine of choice" for fly-fishers around the world. We extend our thanks to Rob and Claudia for their pioneering work in the wine industry and for being such gracious partners in this transition. We wish you the best and many days of "tight lines" out on the water!

In the near future we will be bringing you a great deal of news. Under the direction of Nick Papadopoulos, we are developing partnerships with leading fly-fishing and conservation organizations that will be extremely beneficial for StoneFly's customers as well as the fly-fishing and conservation causes they care about.

We would like to let StoneFly's current customers and supporters know that we are committed to maintaining and further developing the Hampton's stringent standards for wine excellence and stewardship.
